Michelle Philip

Michelle joined Payne Velasco as a trainee solicitor in September 2022, following the completion of a summer internship a year prior. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2025 and continues to support the Family and Matrimonial team.

Michelle assists clients on a broad range of family law matters, both contentious and non-contentious. Her practice includes issues arising from divorce and separation including children arrangements, relocation applications, ancillary relief and financial applications and nuptial agreements. She also has experience in enforcement applications such as committal proceedings, as well as domestic violence cases and injunctive relief. 

In addition to her matrimonial work, Michelle also regularly assists clients on probate and wealth planning matters including applications for grants of probate and letters of administration, as well as the preparation of wills, enduring powers of attorney and deeds of guardianship. 

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, graduating in 2021. She completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) at the same university in 2022 as a UGC-funded student, earning a Dean’s Letter of Distinction.
