Our Partner Jaerey Velasco recently joined as a Role Model for Inspiring Girls Hong Kong and participated as a Role Model Volunteer to a group of teenage girls aged between 15-18 at St. Teresa Secondary School in Ho Man Tin, Kowloon.
For Jaerey, becoming a Role Model volunteer stems from her belief that women, in particular, should support girls in becoming confident, aspiring, and prepared for the future.
Inspiring Girls is an International Charity operating in 28 countries and launched in HK in 2020, with a mission to inspire half a million young women achieve their career aspirations. It is a not-for-profit program aimed at connecting girls from school between the ages of 10-18 with female role models from all walks of life and industry backgrounds.
Inspiring Girls believe that it is the right of every girl to be free of any gender or cultural stereotype and to aim high in life because that is their right.
